We thrilled to host Tarryn Fisher's MUD VEIN Release Week promotion on our page today. We've been huge fans of Tarryn since her Love Me with Lies series (one of our all-time favorite series). First and foremost, Mud Vein is a psychological thriller, with strong underlying themes of truth, pain, and self-discovery. I don't want to reveal much about the story, but I will say: don't read this book if you want swoonworthy, feel-good moments at every corner. Read it if you want your mind provoked and your heart shredded. As a reader, Tarryn makes you work for every little heartbreaking detail. It's the kind of story you HAVE to find out what happenes next (who is the damn zookeper?!). You NEED to know answers. My heart never stopped pounding and my mind never stopped racing, and finally when I was done I was left asking myself, "What the hell just happened?" This book is the definition of book hangover.

Guest Post: What is a day in the life of Tarryn Fisher like?
It’s fun! I write in the mornings at Starbucks. I like to shop to decompress.
Groceries some days, fun shopping on others. I try to do fun things every day
with the kids. Sometimes we plan glow stick dance parties, sometimes we cook
together, go out to eat, take long walks. I try to see an adult human once a
week for drinks and dinner. At night after the kids go to bed, I catch up on a
show like Game of Thrones or Masters of Sex. I read. I facetime with friends.

I am a real life villain, truly. I drink sick amounts of Starbucks. Most of the time my hair smells like coffee. I was born in South Africa, and lived there for most of my childhood. I moved to Seattle just for the rain. Rome is my favorite place in the world so far, Paris comes in at close second. I read and write more than I sleep. When I was eleven, I wrote an entire novel about runaway orphans, using only purple ink. I am addicted to Florence and the Machine and will travel to see concerts. I love scary movies and giraffes.
